Noninvasive preimplantation genetic testing is an important new frontier for in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Clearly the ability to non-invasively test the chromosome complement of an embryo prior to transfer into the uterus, or non-invasive preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (niPGT-A), would be a great leap forward for the field. To date, no other tool in assisted reproduction has shown the promise that PGT-A has as it relates to improving IVF success rates.
Being able to perform PGT-A without biopsy will not only eliminate the risk to the embryo but will also make PGT-A universally accessible.
