This application note details how the Blood Transfusion Service Zurich (the Swiss Red Cross) adopted the Crystal Digital PCR system for chimerism monitoring in patients following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
The lab was previously using a method based on TaqMan assays on a chip-based digital PCR system. It required substantial hands-on time and was not compatible with increasing sample throughput.
This application note describes how the Crystal Digital PCR system with Opal chips attains higher sample throughput with minimal hands-on time, while maintaining a high level of sensitivity.
