Omics is gaining importance in cancer diagnostics. After collection, tissue samples need to be processed, and single cells isolated as quickly as possible to ensure cell viability remains high and changes in the cellular transcriptome are minimized.
Current tissue disaggregation techniques are manual, time-consuming, and often result in sample loss via ruptured or attached cells that are unsuitable for library preparation. Mild, yet automated tissue processing is needed to ensure that cell yield and integrity consistently remain high. The result must be a viable cell suspension, representative of the original sample, for use in high-throughput single-cell research.
This webinar from Cytiva aims to:
• Highlight challenges with current tissue processing techniques.
• Discuss the advantages of mild, automated tissue dissociation for optimizing cell viability.
• Review data demonstrating the advantages of automated processing for high-throughput single-cell omics applications.
