Obtaining detailed molecular characterizations of neuronal populations is critical for understanding normal and pathological brain function. However, researchers working in this area are hindered by low plex, low throughput, or an absence of spatial resolution. A combinatorial approach may be optimal for spatially-relevant whole-transcriptomic profiling.
