"Multiomics Analysis of Treg Heterogeneity for Cell Therapy Optimization"

In this on-demand webinar from BD, Makoto Miyara, professor in immunology at Sorbonne University, discusses his team's work in analyzing Treg heterogeneity using BD Rhapsody single-cell isolation and preparation technology for proteomic and transcriptomic study of immune cells.

CD4+ regulatory T cells expressing FOXP3 (Tregs) play an essential role in maintaining self-tolerance, preventing autoimmune diseases, and stimulating tolerance to allogeneic transplants. The use of Treg cells represents a promising innovative autoimmune disease and transplantation therapeutic strategy.

Treg cells are functionally and phenotypically heterogeneous when isolated from peripheral blood or after expansion for therapeutic purposes. Single-cell RNA sequencing can be used to analyze their transcriptome in detail and identify different subgroups of Treg cells in their natural state and after expansion.
